Clinics Direct expands your options. Our task is to help you explore medical centres and specialists relevant to your request. We help organise the information needed to discuss possible care abroad. The receiving clinical team assesses your medical needs and determines whether it can offer a consultation or treatment.

The available clinics, support and arrangements depend on the individual request. Before proceeding, agree which coordination tasks are included, who will provide them and which questions require an answer from the treating clinician.

How does the Clinics Direct service work?

• You leave a treatment enquiry on the Clinics Direct website or contact the team. Agree how and when you will receive a response; submitting a request does not confirm an appointment.
• A coordinator discusses your enquiry and the medical documents needed for review.
• You can discuss relevant clinics and compare available proposals. Ask what information supports a recommendation and whether the proposed service matches your clinical need.
• The receiving team may provide a preliminary proposal based on the records. An examination or additional tests may change it. Confirm document translation requirements and any associated arrangements.
• Once the clinic confirms acceptance and you decide to proceed, agree the visit and discuss transport, accommodation and interpreter needs. Confirm which arrangements can be included and who is responsible.
• Agree contact arrangements during the visit and after returning home, including responsibility for results and follow-up.

Timing depends on the completeness of the records, clinical review and clinic availability. Confirm dates before making travel commitments. For urgent medical problems, seek local medical care.

What should you clarify before proceeding?

• Professional expertise. Ask about the qualifications and relevant experience of the clinician who will assess or treat you.
• Clear information. Request an explanation of the proposed services, their purpose and what still needs assessment.
• Timing. Confirm the next steps and expected updates for your request.
• Confidentiality. Agree how records will be shared and which privacy arrangements apply.
• Costs. Compare written estimates for equivalent services, including possible additional expenses.

My husband and I are from Bulgaria. A month ago my husband was diagnosed with thymus cancer. Knowing the level of modern medicine, we decided not to despair and to seek treatment abroad.
